Bio

Dr. Friedberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California at Los Angeles and spent the following three years mentoring at-risk youth and teaching health education, nutrition and physical fitness with the non-profit organizations Community Outreach for Prevention and Education (COPE) and the Boys and Girls Club of Venice, California. During this time he also earned a Master of Science degree in Physiology from UCLA and subsequently went on to attend medical school at Albany Medical College.

During his orthopaedic surgery residency at New York Medical College he experienced deep satisfaction from helping people and from the ability to provide patients with immediate life-changing results. This compelled Dr. Friedberg to focus on orthopaedic trauma and complete a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. There he grew his passion for the creativity necessary to achieve excellent results in even the most complex injuries.
Dr. Friedberg is happily married to his wife, Angela, and together they have a witty son, Ethan and a vibrant daughter, Lyla. When time permits, Dr. Friedberg loves to travel with his family, surf, play volleyball, coach little league and indulge with Lyla in her latest artistic endeavor. He has previously competed as a tri-athlete at the sprint, Olympic and Half Ironman distances. Dr. Friedberg’s clinical interests include trauma and reconstructive surgery including complex periarticular, pelvic and periprosthetic fractures, total joint replacement and management of malunions and nonunions.
